The yearly Jour Fixe with students and lecturers in the Statistics Master program will take place on 8 December, 15-ca. 16.30. Due to the current situation, it will likely need to be held online. A Zoom link is posted in the Moodle forum.
In the first part, Amit Ghosh of INWT Statistics will give a talk with the title “From Statistics to Data Science – some tough lessons from our projects“ from the point of view of a Berlin Statistics & Data Science Startup.
In a second part there will be time for questions from the students and a general exchange. I am looking forward to seeing you there!
The second amendment of the study regulations has now been published by the HU, FU and TU. In particular, the changes include the addition of a new specialization track in Data Science.
We invite you to the introduction for new Master of Statistics students on the first day of classes, 18 October 2021, at 10 am in room 125 of the School of Business and Economics of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Spandauer Str. 1, 10178 Berlin. Note that the 3G rule applies, i.e. you should be either fully vaccinated, recovered in the last 6 months, or newly tested negative for the Corona virus. Please bring corresponding documentation, which will be checked. Wearing of FFP2 masks is also mandatory in the building.
We encourage you to attend in person and meet fellow students, especially as many classes in the winter term are still held online. If you cannot or do not want to come in person, you can attend virtually. We will stream the event via Zoom and will keep an eye on Zoom to make sure you can also ask questions that way. The Zoom link and password is provided on the Master of Statistics Moodle course, see https://moodle.hu-berlin.de/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=732254
Looking forward to meeting you, best wishes,
