An entrance condition to the consecutive Master in Statistics program is a university degree (Hochschulabschluss) with a quantitative focus, as, for example, in economics, social sciences, industrial engineering, mathematics, including financial and business economics or physics. In particular, a minimum of 30 credit points (ECTS) have to be acquired in mathematics (analysis and linear algebra), theory of probability, statistics, econometrics or in comparable training during your undergraduate studies (Erststudium). This is a mandatory requirement in the admission process. Another mandatory requirement is German and English language knowledge (both at least on level B1). Details are governed by the program-specific admission rules (German: Fachspezifische Zugangs- und Zulassungsregeln des Master Statistik).
The application phase for the Winter Semester 2023/24 starts on May 2, 2023 and ends on May 31, 2023. Please refer to the “Academic calendars and deadlines” page of the HU.
Applications are processed exclusively by the admission office (Studierendenservice) at HU-Berlin. Further information about required documents (transcripts etc.) is available on their websites. Questions concerning the admissions process should be directed at the Studierendenservice.
In the case of a positive admission decision, the admitted applicants will receive an individualized notification stating to which of the three universities (HU, FU or TU) the enrollment is to take place. After successful enrollment at the assigned university, the students must apply for registration at the two other participating universities. The relevant information will be made available to the applicants in the course of the application procedure via the admissions portal. Note that the general entrance and permission statute of the HU (German: Fächerübergreifende Satzung zur Regelung von Zulassung, Studium und Prüfung der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (ZSP-HU)) is valid no matter which university you are enrolled to.
